This solo exhibition features all original oil paintings based on areas around East Lothian; North Berwick, Dirleton, up to the Lammermuir Hills and further north to Perthshire, specifically Balquhidder.

Having grown up in Scotland I spent many summers in North Berwick and all seasons in Balquhidder, where all seasons can pass in a single day, as my grandparents lived up there and it remains my favourite place. With this selection of work, I was focusing on the contrast between the soft light and hazy shores as the sun shines down the valley of Loch Voil and Loch Doine compared with the rugged windswept East Lothian coastline, often in a bright high contrast light or looming sky.
